I organised the Basket Brigade in 2000 & 2001. We (myself + 50 volunteers) got food and warm clothing to the 500 homeless people in London. Everything was donated from trucks to clothing, chicken wings from Nandos – I raised 3000GBP and spent every penny on the homeless people. The warehouse where we stored the goods and packed the bags was lent to us too. It was the most amazing expereince and we got a feature on BBC news.
